Does this product work with iPad connected to projector via av adapter?

Trying to find a remote to use for keynote presentations with iPad connected via av adapter to projector.

    The Zapper can not control your iPad while you use it for keynote presentations. The only thing you can do is to plug the Zapper to your iPad and use it to control a keynote presentation on your infrared enabled Mac.
