Does this product allows Video pass through that is does it all you to view what is been recorded at the same time

  • Yes. Or at least very close to real time. Depending on your processor speed, if you're recording dual format, and what device you want to use to watch the output. The recorder connects via USB2 to your Mac. If you just want to watch what you're recording on that same Mac then there should be very little delay. If instead you want to watch on your iPhone or iPad, there can be a little bit of a delay. And you can use Elgato EyeTV and Elgato EyeConnect to watch what you're recording on your HDTV using a UPnP device like a PS3. It is built to work with Apple computers, so integration works pretty well. Still, I have one HUGE complaint that makes it impossible for me to recommend this device without reservation. After all the trouble Elgato went through to get really high quality video, I simply don't understand why the recorder only records STEREO audio from an ANALOG source. I just don't know what they were thinking.
