Does this cable give your HDtv an internet access to surf the web on the tv? And if it does , is any software required?

This cable is to connect your computer to a TV, video projector, monitor etc and allows you to view your computer screen on the connected device. Practical uses would be a Keynote presentation or to watch movies. It has absolutely nothing to do with internet access.

  • No this cable allows you to use your HDTV as a monitor. (Thats all an HDTV really is anyways). You would still require a mouse and keyboard to surf the web, all the software for this is bult into your Mac.
