Does this also charge the iPhone while it's plugged into the car power outlet?

  • I've purchased one, and I can say empirically, that it does not charge your iPhone. The power is required so that that bluetooth receiver and aux out will work.

    Unfortunately, it doesn't which is the only option its lacking. But otherwise its a great device, I have been waiting so long for something like that.

  • Just use a cigarette lighter adapter with two inputs, one for Bluetrip, one for iPhone charger. Or buy a Griffin PowerJolt Plus which has a wired dock charger, and insert the Bluetrip into the second outlet, thereby only using one charging input.
