Does the Nano fit in aligned with the plastic backing? When I tested two in the store with my Nano, the Nano stuck out on the left side a little.
Sticking out on the left side made it more difficult to push the power button on the right side to turn on the display (since the plastic backing gets in the way a bit).

Mine has the same issue, it seems there was slight error in engineering this strap.
The plate does get in the way of the power and volume buttons, but only very slightly. You'll get used to it.
This is still the nicest looking wrist strap I've seen so far for the Nano.

I bought this wristband and I am wearing it right now. The Ipod nano slips on super and I have no problem with the push button for power. I highly recommend it. The Ipod nano is just a little bit sticking inside and I find that this help in accidently touching the power button and turning on the ipod. The indent is not significant enough to create a problem.
