    No, unfortunately. The solution I use is an M-Audio Transit USB device which provides optical input and output. Importantly for me this unit also handles Dolby Digital 5.1 output (pass through) which is the only device I know of which does this for Mac. There are other devices out there that support Dolby 5.1 but on Windows only.
