Yes the Airport Express works just fine with Windows 7. One will need to install and run the updated Airport Utility 5.4.2 from Apple Support.

  • You may connect up to 10 wireless clients, and the Airport Express is neutral to whether those clients are Macintosh, Windows, iphone/ipod, wireless printers, etcetera.

The wireless mode on your airport express (a/b/g/n) must be set to match a wireless mode supported by the adapter in your windows PC.

Also, your wireless security on the airport express must be configured in a mode that is supported by your windows card/client (WPA, WPA2, or WEP). Often a mixed WPA/WPA2 network mode on the Airport Express will work for Windows clients.

  • My current AirPort network has machines running OSX, XP, Vista and Windows 7 as well as two iPod Touches and a Wii.

As long as it can connect to a standard WiFi network, it will work with AirPort.
