Does it track activity while bicycling?

No. Fitbit's sensors track the movements of the arm it is worn on, so while it can track a workout on a treadmill in which you are not actually moving anywhere geographically, it cannot track a bicycle ride in which your arm is not swaying or pumping. However, you can sync your Fitbit account with other services such as MapMyRide, which will provide you with an overall fitness picture.

Is a pedometer (i.e. walking, running). Not accurate for cycling.
