Does it pull its power from the ipad/iphone/ipod or does it require the use of the included USB cable?

I am assuming it requires power to pump air into the cuff.

The BP3 has own chargeable battery. You can charge it with the cable included in the package.

  • It gets its power from the dock which has the battery to power the air pump. The usb cable is for connecting the dock to the computer to recharge the dock battery. As of now that is the only way to recharge the dock-no direct ac plug to power or recharge the dock is available. The only real weakness to the product. You must leave the computer on and connected to the dock to recharge its battery. Then you can use the dock without connecting it to a computer until the dockpower is used, then recharge again.
