does ibank work with data exported from barclays online banking in the uk?

Yes it does, you need to export the data using Money 2002 format and its instantly recognised by iBank (I have done this with my Barclays current account and it works great).

So long as you can export your Barclays transactions in certain common (and iBank-compatible) formats, you will be able to import that data into iBank. Those formats (QIF, OFX, QFX or CSV) roughly correspond to other well-known finance software such as Quicken or Microsoft Money, as well as spreadsheets like Excel. You'll find that finance-based formats - those other than CSV - may carry more information along with the basic transaction data.
