Does ibank 4 have data encryption? How secure is our data?
I have heard that there are security issues with this software... Is this true?

First, there are no known security issues inherent to iBank. And unlike various cloud-based finance management products, all of your data is stored on your own computer, as safe as anything else you store securely in your own system.
But data is not encrypted directly within iBank - documents can be password-protected, and users especially concerned with security may wish to turn on FileVault on their Macs.
Another security question that comes up is in keeping iBank data synced on your mobile device with the iBank Mobile app for iPhone or iPod touch. Users should turn on passcode protection for the device, as well as the second level of password protection within iBank Mobile. If your phone were lost or stolen, data can be wiped out remotely via MobileMe.- Answered by Scott B from Putney
