Does Apple have an adaptor to connect a video camera with RCA output cables to my mac book?

I have an older video camera which records on mini DVD, it does not have a firewire or USB to connect to the computer, however it does have an RCA patch cord which I use to connect it directly to my TV or DVD player so that we can watch my recordings. I would like to be able to edit my recordings before burning them to disc. In the past I was able to take the mini DVD and place it in the DVD tray on my (dare I say it) PC and then edit it in the program supplied with the camera. Now I have ditched the PC (Yeh!!) I have found I can not do this because my Mac Book does not accept the mini DVD. I thought if there was an adaptor available I could connect the camera using the RCA patch cord. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any adaptor that Apple supports?
