Kidz Gear Volume Limit Headphones
Product No Longer Available
Do they actually work?
I have bought a couple different brands of kid friendly headphones. They all claim to have a lower max volume, but they don't. i want something that my 3 year old can use without me hearing it over over what I am watching/doing, and that isn't going to harm her ear drums. I have used her other headphones, and they got just as loud as the earbuds that come with the ipods. I want to buy these, but want to be assured they actually do what they say...

Answer
Absolutely, they cap the volume at about 80% of the maximum levels using the KidzControl Volume Limit Technology. With these headphones, this puts the sound into the 80dB – 90dB range. This is considered the “Safe Zone” for children’s listening.
