Do these headphones need to be broken in at all for optimal sound quality?
I've been reading about another manufacturer's high-performance headphones, and theirs requires that they be broken in for 24-36 hours in order for them to achieve their best performance.
Do these Apple headphones also need to be broken in?

At this price point, I doubt it. Still, you could always just put your favourite album on endless loop for a couple of days after you buy them, if it'll make you feel better :-)
