Do I need an airport card in my PowerMac G4 to use airport base extreme station
I am trying to go wireless so I can stream movies from Netflix on my Samsung HDTV and BlueRay player. My G4 PowerMac does not have an Airport card. Do I need one. Also is the ethernet port on my modem the same as the LAN connection?

You can use an AirPort card if your Power Mac doesn't have a FireWire 800 port, but if it does have one you'll use an AirPort Extreme card instead. Or, if you've got an empty PCI slot you can install a third-party wireless card and get faster speed than the older AirPort card, just be sure it will be Mac compatible.
No, you would connect the Ethernet cable from your modem to the one Ethernet WAN port on this base station. The three Ethernet LAN ports might be used (with or without a switch) for network printers with Ethernet port but no USB port, or scanner, etc.
