Can you use the mic and ear phones on the pc as well?

I need to buy a new headset for my pc, online gaming, and would consider these if they would work since I also have the newest IPOD Nano. Do they work on PC's?

    The sound will work, however the microphone will not work. Only on newer Macs does the mic work. Sorry.
