Can you use multiple speakers with a single iPad?
If I wanted 1 unit in every room in my house (i.e 6) Could I then use 1 iPad to play music through each unit at the same time?

Apparently not. iOS 5 doesn't support multiple speakers, which is a shame. I spoke to Apple via Apple Support Express Lane. It would seem the iPad would have to double the packets sent via WiFi, which might drain the battery too fast.
Would be a nice option to have, especially if the iPad is attached to the AC adaptor, then the battery level wouldn't be a concern.
How about it Apple?

yes but from itunes. i found this on a website. To stream to multiple devices, you have to use your computer-based iTunes music collection as the audio source. For whatever reason, running iTunes on a Mac or Windows PC provides more flexibility for AirPlay. Using iTunes on your computer, you can stream music to multiple AirPlay receivers or speakers throughout your network (say, an Apple TV in the living room and a Zeppelin Air in the bedroom), and control their volume levels independently as well.
