Can you scan with this printer (HP LASERJET PRO M1536dnf) if networked and not directly connected via USB?

  • Yes, when network connected (LAN via router, network hub or ie. bridge ode via any airport device (express, extreme)), you can use Image Capture to scan from the flatbed and/or top-feeder, in color or black&white. It uses bonjour to connect to the scanner section of the printer, so no scanning over VPN (as yet?), but local network works fine. It's been used as scanner throughout our home by multiple people (sequentially).

  • Yes, if you mean connecting the printer to a WiFi network router via Ethernet cable.
