Transferring data from any software to a competitor is certainly never cut and dry. On the AccountEdge website, we do a nice job of setting expectations, clarifying what can be taken over from QuickBooks, and letting you know the two ways to do it. There is a nice, brief document as well about how to work with your accountant (who may be using QuickBooks on a different OS), but typically I think it's best to take advantage of our Free Accountant's Copy. Whether you are using AccountEdge for Mac or Windows, your accountant (as long as they're in public practice) can get a free copy for their computer. This allows you to directly send them your company files and not have to worry about sending them reports so they can re-enter data into their product. The Conversion Service offered by a consultant of ours is certainly a good service and if you read the FAQ about it, it explains a bit more about why some things can't come over along with what extras he can take over for you.
