Can this AirPort works well with Motorola SB6120 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 eXtreme Broadband Cable Modem? Somebody told me no, so I'm confused.

Since someone bumped this on the 3... Yes, my brand new AE is connected to a 6120 and working fine. Plugged into the modem, power cycled the modem. Waited for it to come online then plugged in the AE and used the airport utility to configure the AE. Everything working fine. The only thing that maybe different for me from others is I work for my ISP and as such my 6120 is uncapped and wide open.

  • I'm curious about an answer as well. I recently purchased a DOCSIS 3.0 Motorola Surfboard SB6121 and connected it to what was a fully functional Airport Extreme 4th Gen Base Station. Now my AEBS will not accept ANY incoming Internet. I know correlation does not mean causation, but I'm out the price of a modem, and now another AEBS... Looking for answers, and I'm hoping others have had this happen so answers can come. However, I'd be reluctant to purchase the modem if you're using an AEBS.
