The AirPort Extreme has a USB port, but the port only supports hard drives and printers. You cannot use it with a mobile/cellular wireless USB card. It needs to get its internet connection from an ethernet port.

If you had a Mac which had a mobile/cellular wireless USB adapter you could share this connection via ethernet to an AirPort Extreme. (You could also share it over WiFi if the Mac had an AirPort card.)

  • I am not sure exactly what you mean. Are you talking about an ExpressCard/34 Wireless card which gives your laptop wireless capability?

If so then yes, it will absolutely work with that.

If you are talking about a mobile internet card as in something that you get from ATT or Verizon and lets you access the internet over a Celular network, then NO. It will not work with that.

The airport extreme is a wireless internet base station but does not broadcast a GSM or other cellular type signal.

    Hope this helps.
