can it connect to cable television?

I know it can connect with the macbook pro (with the right cable) but does it connect to any cable television or can it?

    You can also choose the option of using the Elgato Hybrid, which will let you stream & record (dvr) to your Mbp live tv from a digital antenna. Which I'm sure we all recall the government made it a requirement all broadcast tv signals go digital. So that means, you can stop paying for your cable tv (unless your a movie channel person) & capture it free over the air. One time investment, years of savings.

  • If your cable box has an available Class A HDMI I/O, then by purchasing a Class c Mini-HDMI cable to Class A HDMI cable, you can plug and use.
