Can it come without the remote?
I don't know what the remote does and I don't really think I need one. Can you give me some advice on what the remote does and what it can do for I-Pod touches? Thanks.

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic

The remote consists of three buttons in a rectangular plastic casing, attached to the wire. The three buttons are two volume controls (volume up, volume down) and one utility button. The utility button, depending on context and how it is activated, will do one of a number of things. The most common are stop or restart currently playing audio, or answer a call (on the iPhone). A complete list is available on the Apple support site under the article ID 'HT3458'; however, note that a long squeeze on the center button will activate voice control on models that support it, rather than speaking artist and song information.
You can safely just ignore the remote, but it cannot be removed. (At least, not without destroying the headset.) Nor is there a model of this headset that does not come with a remote.
