(This may just apply under Snow Leopard.) You can pair the earphones very easily using the Bluetooth preference pane. Once they're paired, you need to tell yoru Mac how to use the headphones. Click the Bluetooth menu in the ride side of the menu bar, and go down to "Sennheiser MM400" where you can choose to connect via mono or stereo. You can change when you need to, for switching between "music" applications and "chat" applications. I did find that audio quality was disappointing under Snow Leopard until I did the following:

    1) Enter this next line into Terminal and press return:
defaults write com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent "Apple Bitpool Min (editable)" 50
    2) Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on for the change to take effect.

  • I have the MM400 and a MacBook, but I seem to only get mono with my Mac. I get full stereo and the unit us GREAT with my iPhone. I am not sure if the MM400 ever worked in stereo with my Mac or if this is something I lost since I started using Skype on my Mac recently?

  • The other answer you got is not quite complete. One may need to buy one of the Sennheiser dongles that allow the mm400 to work. they have one for a bluetooth connection and one for iphone/ipod. These also allow more control and better sound. My macbook pro has bluetooth yet does not work without the BTD300 dongle

  • If your iMac has bluetooth and running the latest os x it will work, if not you will need a bluetooth dongle.

  • I have just bought this headset and it works great with the i-phone in all ways. However, on both my Macs (laptop and desktop) it works with i-tunes for headphones but the Microphone does not work with Skype. I was told to try selecting 'Bluetooth Headset' instead of 'Headphones' in set up - but it made no difference to the mic working. Has anyone got this headset working on Skype on the Mac? Thanks
