Can I use the irig as an input for my guitar amplifier to garage band on my iPad?

I want to plug my guitar amplifier head into the iRig and onto my iPad. I am running a 20 watt Jet City head with stock tubes. The 1/4" output jack on the back of the head says 16 ohms. There are two more 1/4" output jacks that say 8 ohms. I want to make sure I can record this way without doing any kind of damage to my iPad.

    No, you could damage your iRig, but more importantly you could damage your iPad. That output on your amp is for a speaker cabinet. If you want to record your guitar amp, try iRig Mic on the guitar amp cab to record into GarageBand.
