Can I use the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic with Skype on Windows and Apple?

I have both Windows and Mac/Apple and i want to be able to skype with no one hearing me outloud, so i want some headphones that actually work when i use skype. will they work with the mic it comes with a mic right when u buy it???
