Can I use TC with Time Machine on my iMac to do automatic backups and also read and write to the TC from my Windows 7 laptop?
I want to be able to do automatic backups from my iMac with TC and also use it as extra storage for files on my Windows 7 laptop, all wirelessly of course. Possible?

Yes, it's possible. I am doing that now. There are several ways to configure the Time Capsule. You have to install a small piece of software from Apple (AirPort Utility) on your Windows machines. Once you do that, you can mount the Time Capsule as a networked drive (if you have set it up as a drive with a password) or log in (if you have set it up with user accounts).
You will probably need to do the initial configuration over the wired network ports, so you can set the IP address range to match your existing network.
One other note... the drive is formatted as FAT32, not NTFS. This means that small files will take a large amount of space on the drive. It does not seem possible to reformat it, as the MacOS does not read and write NTFS volumes.
