Can I use my WWAN card with the AirPort?

I'm about to buy a MacBook Pro to add to my current iMac, which is using a Verizon WWAN AirCard. I would like to be able to share that connection, and need to be sure that I can do so. So, do I need to use an AirPort at all? Can I use the WWAN with the AirPort? Is there a better solution?

Thanks for your help!

  • It is not necessary to use an Airport base station to share your WWAN card. You can use the Internet Sharing feature built into OS X to share the WWAN connection via Airport. The Macbook Pro will connect to your iMac via Airport which will share its WWAN internet connection.
