Can I use Airport Express work with IPad?

I travel and a lot of Hotels offer free internet, but often overseas it is only via a cable connection in your room. If I connect Airport Express to the room internet connection and set up my own network will I be able to connect with the IPad?

Yes, you'll be able to connect with your iPad. Anyone who travels with an iPad should also consider carrying the Airport Express, especially if you don't have a 3G capable iPad.

  • It will definitely work. Just set up the airport express at home as a "New network" and then carry it with you on your travels. Plug the ethernet cable into the airport express at the hotel and it should show up on your wireless network list on your iPad as the name you assigned it. Just a reminder, you won't be able to adjust the settings of the APE via your iPad. Apple is yet to create an airport utility app for the iPad/iPhone. Hope this helps!

  • I have both the AirPort Express and an iPad and the iPad connects to it perfectly.
