iWatchz Q Series watchband for iPod nano
Product No Longer Available
Can I lock my nano onto the clock screen? That would make the watch band a perfect display on my wrist.

If you are asking the question that I was trying to find you may be wanting to make the iPod wake into the clock face. I saw someone mentioned that this is possible (gotta love forums where someone points out it is possible, but makes no attempt to mention how) so I thought I would post to clarify.
A) There currently is no way to lock your iPod clock into an on position so your watch is visible at all time.
B) If you are wanting to make it so the watch is 'locked' to be the first screen when waking the iPod you would go to Settings, then General, then Date & Time. Scroll down to Time on Wake and flip the switch to the ON position.

Currently, there is no function to disable sleep mode. It will dim after 20 seconds and turn off after 40 seconds. Hopefully there will be an update soon to be able to lock it into clock mode. The reason for this is to preserve battery life.

I was just messing with my nano trying to find a solution to this particular problem. Somehow I stumbled upon this quick fix to the issue. I applied the settings above before hand and still ended up with the same results. So I kept working with the iPod and here is the solution. Instead of going to the clock menu opening it and then locking the iPod (which will open up to your music menu). Go to the Grey music menu and open it then lock the iPod. (Which will open up to your watch face).

What u can do is go to clock swipe left and start the "stop watch" swipe back to clock and now with the stop watch running in the back ground the clock will remain locked for about 10 mins straight before the screen goes to sleep.
to save battery go to settings and turn the brightness to minimum.
dont forget to touch and hold for 3 sec on any app screen to kill all other apps or the music app will keep returning back to home screen.
this may be the only solution to keep the clock locked at the moment.

Inside the settings, there is an option to load up the clock screen every time you wake the iPod. If you are using it as a watch, most people would do that anyway.
But reading the other answers, there is no way right now to lock the screen to stay on permanently to the clock screen, and never turn off. Unless... you tap the screen every ten seconds or so and then it won't go back to sleep mode.

If you want the Clock to show up when you wake your 6G NANO, 1) tap and hold screen for 3 seconds causing the apps to shake, 2) move the clock to the first position on the Home Screen (all the way to the left), 3) then press and hold the screen to stop the shaking of the apps. there you go, when you press the wake button, the clock shows up.

Yes you can- but it will still turn itself off after 20 seconds and then dim for about the same amount of time to save the battery.

There might not be a way to keep your nano from sleeping but there is certainly a way to extend the time before it sleeps through these simple steps:
1. From the Clock screen, swipe to the left to go to the Timer
2. Start the Timer
3. Go back to the Clock screen by swiping to the right
This will keep your nano awake for about 5 to 6 minutes. I have tried this on my nano v1.2 and it works just fine. Battery, though, might not last you a long time. ;)
