Can I leave my sensor in my shoe?
Do I need to take the sensor out when I am done walking/running or can I leave it in my shoe? Will it use the battery if I leave it in?

Yes you can leave it in the shoe. It is designed not to use battery power when it is not being used, and is basically in "sleep" mode. The battery gets activated once there is motion. That's why you need to walk around a bit before starting a workout. The movement turns it on so that the receiver can pick up the signal.
