Can I install this myself? Does it come with instructions?
MacBookPro 13inch black. I have the 2.16 duo core processor with 1gig 6667 ddr2 sdram.
Can I buy the 2g memory and just plug it in, or in place of the current memory card?

You can install it yourself, it is relatively easy to do so. However, if you buy it from Mac you can take it to a Mac store and they will walk you through the process. Or you can buy it from a different vender (usually cheaper too), but the RAM will not be under your warranty with Mac products and they will not help you install them. But luckily there is youtube which will give you a tutorial by simply searching Mac Ram Install, and your model.

The instructions for expanding memory are in the manual for your model of computer. You can download the manual in PDF form from the Apple Store. I am looking at the iMac late 2006 manual and it looks like a piece of cake for this machine.
