The client software is actually an omnipresent component of Mac OS X, and is essentially an advanced VNC server. However, to leverage it, you will need a license to ARD Admin, which Apple does not provide for download. There are various sites around the web that do have it for download, but you will need a serial number to use it, and you will be prompted on first run to provide it. If you do not have a serial, it will not permit you to run the application, and there is no trial version.

  • If you are asking about a digital download of the licensed product, yes. You can buy the full ARD 3 license (one administrator, unlimited clients) for $99.00 from the Mac App Store. It will download to your Mac and remain in your iTunes account for download at a later date (if required).
