Moshi 800 to 400 FireWire Adapter

Can I daisy chain the Moshi 800 to 400 to the firewire 800 to thunderbolt adaptor as a means to transfer my firewire 400 devices to my new MacBook?

File transfer method from Firewire 400 devices using Thunderbolt.

    You should be able to as long as they have their own power supplies.

    You will struggle to power much using the 7w output on this cable.
