Can I connect my stereo receiver to Airport Extreme to wirelessly play songs from iTunes through external speakers (as I can with Airport Express)?

    To clarify, you can still have the airport extreme to handle your base station functions and also have the express hooked up to your stereo for streaming. I have three express routers hooked up to three different stereo's throughout the house and outside and can play all three at the same time from Itunes or from pandora ( and other streaming services ) using Airfoil.

  • You can use RCA cables on one end to connect to your stereo receiver (RCA are the old ones with the red and yellow tips) and on the other end, connect to your Airport Express with an earjack. Radio Shack sells one that I bought recently to do this same maneuver. It says on the package "Audio Y-Cable 1/8" (3.5mm) Stereo Right Angle Male to Dual RCA (Phono) Male" Good luck!
