Are they easily packed away and sturdy, i.e. suitable for travel?

The ear cups don't fold in on themselves and they come with a pouch rather than a hard case; depends on how you travel - be careful and their solid. Stuff them in a bag or sit on them and them may not survive.

Sturdy though, nothing flimsy in the design, cable is solid too.
