I have a Mac Pro 8 core, purchased September 30,2009 will this card work in it? the 6 pin power cables will plug into the GTX 285 but not the Mac Pro
I have a Mac Pro 8 core, purchased September 30,2009 will this card work in it? the 6 pin power cables will plug into the GTX 285 but not on the Mac Pro board. There is a fan between the card and the spot where the cable should attache. The cable is not long enough to reach around the fan to where it should attache.

Yes the 285GTX will work on your 2009 Mac Pro, The geforce 285 GTX was made for 2008-2009 Mac Pro's, If you goto youtube there's plenty of videos of Mac Pro owners installing the 285 GTX in there Mac Pro, So go ahead and purchase this GPU for your Mac Pro have fun
