Does this film affects somehow the cooling efficiency of the aluminum unibody which dissipates the heat to cool down?

No it does not. The MacBook Pro dissipates the heat from the bottom of the aluminium unibody and not at the palmguard area. The palmgaurd area might feel warm as the aluminium conducts heat. Do not obstruct the bottom of the MacBook Pro so that you do not affect the cooling efficiency of the aluminium unibody.
