I had no problem with it on Lion. However, it seems it has a limit on the area it can scan based on the resolution that is selected. And that makes sense since if you scan something like 8.5 x 11 document/photograph at 9600 dpi you wind up with a file too large for many computers/software to handle any way. I don't think that is a Lion issue. It would be nice if the error message would actually tell the user that the selected area and resolution is too large for the scanner!

Thanks for the answer. It makes sense. Workaround that I found for the particular 8.5x11" page I was scanning. Tho' counterintuitive (to me), I put the page in 'backwards', top on the side AWAY from the Buttons. Got a complete copy. Don't know if it wd wrk w/ legal sized papers, etc., - Kathy
