What acts are performed by the FileMaker? like - entourage does mailing - iCal is daily diary etc.
I am unable to understand the basic function of the software beyond sharing the data base. Is it Database also?

FileMaker Server is database management software. It allows you to share a database over a local network or through the internet for multiple users to access simultaneously.
