How is LoJack different from find my iPhone or find my Mac?

    So if LoJack gets deleted if the drive is wiped or formatted, how did it assist in finding your mac?

  • Though actual experience son's Mac Pro stolen from college frat house:
    Find My Iphone does allow you to locate if the Find My Iphone hasn't been truned off.
    Lo Jack is a hidden file and most often remians active without interuption. LoJack staff can communicate with the device, erase data, send messages to the device and alert police of its location.

    My son's Mac Pro hard disk was wiped, put on Craig's list, purchased by an honest person. Lo Jack got it back.
