Do these speakers work with an iphone 3?

Of course.

They won't supply power to the iPhone, but they use a standard 3.5 mini plug, so you just need a cable with 2 male ends.

Hint: buy a short cable. I bought a 6 foot cable so I'd have more flexibility, but ended up with a wad of unsightly cable cluttering up my desk.
