Can I paste a jpeg file and also have an area for text with different size fonts in the text?

You can certainly resize the JPEG image, so that it properly fits the card and you have enough space on the card required for your text. Text font and size can be adjusted from Text tab of the Inspector.
You can also write your text over the inserted image if needed.
