The oldest Macbook Pros that are compatible with this cable are the Macbook Pros (early-2011) that were released in February of 2011 til now. Anything older will not have a Thunderbolt port.

more than likely not. If it does not have a thunderbolt port (the small port with a arrow pointing downward) then, no.
