Does remote mean wireless..

The product description doesn't make clear what remote means. Does it mean wireless.

    Remote just means that you can change the volume, track, activate siri, and answer calls and facetimes from the button on the right side of the headphone cord. In no way is it a wireless remote, but it does allow you to control the functions of an iPhone or iPod without reaching into your pocket.
