Does this work with the Sony Dream Machine ICF-C1iPMK2 so that my alarm clock will turn a iPhone 5 on?

Yes. I have bought one, and it works, but first you have to remove the docking adapter from the Dream Machine's cradle (the little black insert *under* the 30-pin jack that allows it to accept everything from an iPod Classic to an iPhone 4S). If you don't take this out, the adapter doesn't fit in all the way. That being said, thus rigged, your snazzy new iPhone 5 suddenly looks ugly and stupid: it sits high up on the slick Dream Machine on this dorky white stub, leaning back until it touches the speaker cabinet. -rant removed- . Hopefully, Sony will come out with an adapter that integrates better with the design of the unit.
