Does the iPhone 5 adapter work on the Sony dream machine?

I got an iPhone 5 for Christmas but it doesn't go into my Sony speaker since it has the new plug, so will this adapter work? I want to be able to listen to music, not only charge it.

    I currently own an Ipod Touch 4 that I use with a docking station Sony FSTGTK 1, placing it in the 30-pin plug.

    My interest is to buy an Ipod 5 and the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter
