Is it possible to connect a midi keyboard to an ipad mini

I'd like to connect a small music keyboard (usb midi). It has it's own power supply - batteries/adapter. but I have no idea if the ipad mini supports "host mode"

    Hi Karl, yes it should work fine. From my experience I have tried the Akai mpk mini the lpk mini and the Maudio keystation 32 midi keyboards made for ipad. They all seemed to work fine but my keystation has some issue that I'm still trying to resolve. Hope this helps..
