The Apple SuperDrive is only compatible with with a very select list of devices that lack an internal SuperDrive; the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro with Retina Display and the current generation Mac mini. It is usable with the Apple supplied BootCamp drivers when running Windows on those computers but not compatible with non-Apple computers.
