Can this Smart Case be used with the original iPad?

I love the smart case that came out for the ipad2 and 3 but I was upset that the original ipad couldn't have had it as well... Thank you for any info!

    It does not fit the ipad2 properly. The iPad 2 sits in it, but it is very loose, so much so that when you pick it up you can see the silver bezel appear and it slides around inside the case. When you hold the sides, there is an obvious gap that you can feel a sponginess when the case compresses against the iPad.
    Disappointing, shall be returning it.
